Privacy
The short version
Yuva stores your baby's care records on your phone. Nothing leaves the device unless you turn on partner sharing or talk to the assistant. We do not run analytics on care data, we do not show ads, and we do not sell or share data with third parties.
What the app stores
Your baby's name, date of birth and optional profile details (sex, weeks at birth); care events you log (feeds, sleep, nappies, temperature, medication as you typed it, growth measurements, tummy time, play) with the time they happened and the caregiver who logged them; caregiver names; your settings. All of this is kept in a local database on your device. You can export it as a file or delete everything from More → Delete all data.
Partner sharing (optional)
If you turn on sharing, Yuva creates an anonymous account for your device and stores your household's care records on servers operated by Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt), so a partner who joins with your invite code sees the same timeline. Only members of your household can read those records; access is enforced by database rules. Invite codes expire after 24 hours and work once. You can leave a household at any time; leaving stops future access but cannot recall data a partner already has on their phone. Turn sharing off and the app keeps working locally.
If you also turn on partner notifications, your phone registers a push token and a short note such as “Simla · Bottle · 90 ml” is delivered through Expo's push service and Apple's notification service to your partner's phone. Notes contain the caregiver's name and the entry type; never notes, medication doses or photos. Quiet hours and categories are set per phone.
Photos and videos (optional)
You can attach photos and short videos to an entry. They are stored on your phone. If partner sharing is on, each file is also uploaded to a private bucket on the same EU servers so your partner's phone can show it; only your household can read that bucket, and the app fetches files through short-lived signed links. Deleting an attachment in the app deletes the uploaded copy. You can also invite followers (grandparents and friends). Invited followers can access only moments caregivers explicitly publish: a chosen photo or short video re-encoded without location data, a short caption, the day and the baby’s age in months, and the sharer’s name. Never notes, times, health entries or the care log. Withdrawing a moment or removing a follower stops future access at once; copies already captured cannot be recalled. Followers can leave one reaction per moment and cannot comment or download.
Talking to Yuva (optional)
Ask Yuva is a voice assistant you start by pressing a button. Until you press it, nothing on this page changes and no care record is sent anywhere for it.
While a conversation is open, your voice is streamed to OpenAI, which turns it into speech and replies. Along with it we send your baby's first name, their age, and the name of the caregiver talking, so the assistant can address you properly.
Care records are sent only when the assistant looks one up to answer you, and only the part it looked up: how long your baby has been asleep or awake, the last feed and nappy, or up to the last two days of entries with their times and who logged them. Guidance the assistant quotes comes from Yuva's own cards, not from the model's own knowledge.
Some things are never sent, whatever you ask. Notes you typed. Photos and videos. The name of a medicine or its dose — the assistant can see that a medicine was recorded and when, and nothing more, and it will not state a dose under any circumstances. It has no ability to read anything else on your phone.
OpenAI processes what we send in order to reply, under their API terms, which do not permit using it to train their models. Yuva keeps no recording and no transcript: when the conversation ends, the words are gone from our side. We store only how long you talked, so we can count it against your minutes, and who talked.
If you would rather no care record ever reached a model, do not use Ask Yuva. Every other part of the app works exactly as it did before, and there is nothing to switch off.
What we do not do
No advertising. No tracking across apps or sites. No analytics on care records. No sale of data. Nothing is sent to an AI model unless you start a conversation in Ask Yuva, and that is described above. Crash reports, if enabled in a future version, will exclude care data.
Health information
Yuva is educational information, not medical advice, and it never calculates medicine doses. Guidance cards cite their sources and show whether they have been clinically reviewed. Your paediatrician knows your baby.
Children
Yuva is used by parents and caregivers, not by children. The baby's records belong to the parent's device and household.
Your rights
You can export, correct or delete your data inside the app at any time. For sharing accounts you can ask us to delete server-side records by writing to hello@yuvababy.com. Residents of Türkiye have rights under KVKK and residents of the EU under GDPR; we honour access, correction and deletion requests within 30 days.

Yuva'ya sor, bir düğmeye basarak başlattığınız sesli bir asistandır. Siz basmadıkça onun için hiçbir bakım kaydı hiçbir yere gönderilmez.
Konuşma açıkken sesiniz OpenAI'ye aktarılır ve orada yanıta dönüşür. Yanında bebeğinizin adını, yaşını ve konuşan bakım verenin adını göndeririz; asistan size doğru şekilde hitap edebilsin diye.
Bakım kayıtları yalnızca asistan size cevap vermek için baktığında ve yalnızca baktığı kadarıyla gönderilir: bebeğin ne kadardır uyuduğu ya da uyanık olduğu, son beslenme ve son bez, ya da son iki güne kadarki kayıtlar; saatleri ve kimin girdiğiyle. Asistanın aktardığı bilgiler Yuva'nın kendi kartlarından gelir, modelin kendi bilgisinden değil.
Ne sorarsanız sorun asla gönderilmeyenler var: yazdığınız notlar, fotoğraflar ve videolar, bir ilacın adı ve dozu. Asistan yalnızca bir ilacın kaydedildiğini ve ne zaman kaydedildiğini görebilir, fazlasını değil; ve hiçbir koşulda doz söylemez. Telefonunuzdaki başka hiçbir şeye erişemez.
OpenAI gönderdiğimizi yalnızca yanıt üretmek için işler; API koşulları bunu model eğitiminde kullanmaya izin vermez.
